What Is A Firearm Roster?
A roster is an official list of firearms that are legally approved for sale, purchase, and sometimes possession within a particular U.S. state. If a gun isn't on the roster, licensed dealers cannot legally sell it in that state.
If a gun is not on the roster, that doesn't always mean it's "illegal." It might just mean that dealers can't sell it. Rosters are constantly changing — firearms can be added or removed over time.
FFL Compliance:
FFLs can purchase firearms that are not legal in their state if they are for sale
to law enforcement, military, or out-of-state sales. Connecticut is the exception; they can only order firearms to fill law enforcement and military
orders and cannot keep regulated firearms as stock.
