NSRO is an acronym for Navy SEAL Robert O'Neill, a limited-edition rifle produced by WATCHTOWER Firearms in collaboration with Robert O'Neill. Together, we offer a quality precision rifle that is reliable and range ready with EOTECH's hybrid optic package. Robert chose the Type 15 rifle as his platform because it exceeds military specifications, with ambidextrous controls, a government profile .223 Wylde barrel, a robust corrosion-resistant 5.56 NATO bolt carrier group and is manufactured from high-grade billet aluminum for a wobble-free fitment and to prevent dust and debris. To give the rifle an edge, Robert upgraded the trigger to a Geissele SSA-E two-stage trigger and a compensating muzzle brake to reduce recoil significantly. Lastly, he engraved his logo as a stamp of approval and finished the gun in a cerakote gray with red accents.

About Robert J. O'Neill

Robert J. O’Neill is one of our most highly decorated combat veterans. He served at SEAL Team Two, SEAL Team Four, and eight years at the legendary SEAL Team Six. Having taken part in and led over 400 combat missions, Rob operated in Liberia, The Balkans, The Persian Gulf and Indian Ocean, Ukraine, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. Having been decorated 53 times, his awards include two Silver Stars for gallantry in action against the enemy, four Bronze Stars with Valor to denote heroism against the enemy, a Joint Service Commendation Medal with Valor, a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with Valor, three Presidential Unit Commendations and three Combat Action ribbons to name a few.

Some of Rob’s qualifications include Military Free-Fall Jumpmaster, Tandem Tethered Bundle Master, Naval Special Warfare Scout / Sniper, Breacher, Master Naval Parachutist, Master Training Specialist, Diving Supervisor, Range Officer in Charge for Small Arms, Close Quarters Battle, Breaching, Laser System Safety Officer among many others. Rob took part in the rescue for Operation Red Wings, which extracted the Lone Survivor, Marcus Luttrell. He was the lead jumper for the rescue operation that saved Captain Richard Phillips from Somali pirates, and he was a Team Leader for Operation Neptune’s Spear, the mission to kill Osama bin Laden.

Rob is co-founder of the Special Operators Transition Foundation, specializing in assisting Special Operations Forces veterans successfully transitioning from the service into their next great career in corporate America.

Rob is the author of the NY Times and London Times Best Selling Memoir THE OPERATOR: Firing the Shots that Killed Osama bin Laden and My Years as a SEAL Team Warrior.

Description:

The NSRO TYPE 15 is machined from high-grade 7075-T6511 billet aluminum for the tightest tolerances to secure a wobble-free fitment and to prevent dust and debris from entering. Assembled with an ambidextrous charging handle and WATCHTOWER's patented safety selector to satisfy the need for more dexterity, which allows more surface area to manipulate the mechanics of the firearm. We've also upgraded the fire control group with the Geissele SSA-E two-stage trigger. The NSRO includes our Tru-Black PVD coated 5.56 NATO M16 profile MPI tested Durabolt BCG, our most robust, durable, and easy-to-clean coating. The barrel is a stainless steel 16-inch .223 Wylde with a 1:8 rifling twist and has a mid-length gas system finished in a black nitride coating. Surrounding the barrel is the 13.7-inch S7M free-floating handguard with M-LOK attachment slots at five positions, 4 QD points, and a full-length 1913 Picatinny rail. WATCHTOWER's compensating muzzle brake is incorporated at the end of the barrel, a device to mitigate recoil, finished in a Tru-black PVD coating. This rifle also comes with a Style 2 grip with red paracord and Magpul's reinforced polymer MVG vertical grip and their CTR buttstock.
